If Mr. Billesberger thinks our MLA or MP can do anything regarding our high gas prices, he is delusional. The oil industry has been ruining the environment and controlling our governments for years. They are not about to deny themselves and their shareholders this obscene reward.
Until we insist on alternative energy sources and refuse to vote for any government who will not invest in this and until those who are fortunate enough to have an investment portfolio decide to eliminate their shares in this industry, these prices will continue. Unfortunately, we send most of our oil at bargain basement prices to the U.S., yet our costs at the pump are not a bargain.
