SOGALA (South Okanagan Gay and Lesbian Association), PFLAG (Parents and Friends of LGBTQ), and the Harm Reduction Outreach Program came together to create a float for the 2016 Peachfest parade.
We want to thank local businesses and friends for their generosity.
We were delighted to bring smiles and playfulness to the parade. It was an additional surprise to win the first place trophy in the non-commercial category.
Each of our organizations offers safe places for LGBTQ2SA, friends and family. As we celebrate the first Penticton Pride week, let’s remember when we support each other to be ourselves, there are good times over the rainbow.
