LETTER: Quit robbing the poor

The deer eat, but the poor do not — something is so wrong.

The deer eat, but the poor do not — something is so wrong.

Lots of people plant a garden to help get by with fresh vegetables, or lots plant a garden to keep joy in their life by watching things grow. With rent so high you need a garden to help make it, but the deer come first.

A simple fix is to get rid of the deer so people can at least have a garden to enjoy. A lot of work goes into one. Some people grow things for the food bank, but if the deer are just going to eat all the things why bother? If rent is down to say one-third of your income then you would see a lot of stores make more. I don’t think this will happen.

When on a fixed income, every penny counts and if the city goes ahead with the parking meters it will drive people away. Is this just a money grab? A lot of cities do not have meters at beaches, parks or hospitals. Where does it stop?
