Letter: Road to nowhere, built for vendors

This is the road to nowhere, built for vendors and to save putting barriers on the intersection of Main Street and Westminster Avenue for activities in Gyro Park.

This was constructed through the park at great expense when there is a city task force out there looking into expanding city parkland? The cost of this vendor road through a city park should have been allocated to upgrading the 300 block of Main Street.

The now costly vendor road should have been an extension of Gyro Park South to align with the north end of city hall. Check the paid parking lot next to the new road, one vehicle, two on Friday. A large addition to public parkland.

Now will everyone have to pay to park on Martin Street and Winnipeg Street for the summer market?

Sorry to say, costly decisions to provide parking.
