Letter: To the kind person in Penticton

Please be assured there will be at least four more such gestures paid forward by us.

On Monday, Oct. 24, four friends met at Denny’s in Penticton for supper prior to attending a lecture at Okanagan College.

We had a fine meal, one lady left early to reserve seats near the front as three of us have hearing difficulties. We asked for the bill, but the waitress said, “the lady at the next table has paid your tab.”

The kind soul had left already and none of us knew her.

An aura of shock, surprise, wonder and awe overtook our table. We wondered who would do such a thing and why. Then we felt the warmth and gratitude of such a wonderful gesture.

Please be assured there will be at least four more such gestures paid forward by us. We all four are curious why you did this? Please answer through the letters to the editor (anonymously, of course). We would love to forward your feelings.
