LETTERS: Communicating with council

I am going to take my own advice and call the mayor’s office today and request a visit with him.

Last week in my letter to the editor, I suggested that we the public step up our communication with the mayor and council, as they indicate that it is lacking.

So, I am going to take my own advice and call the mayor’s office today and request a visit with him.

I am going to ask what council is going to do about the thousands of people that have already communicated their wishes. And why they have implemented  a new program to get community feedback?

There are some other things I will ask. I believe open communication and sharing information is vital to our community.

I invite you to contact me to see how it goes. Also, if you   would like to step up communication, I would like to hear from you. I have some other ideas. Phone or email:  letscommunicate123@gmail.com or 250-493-5275.

If you, like me, want more communication with the Council, please meet me in Skaha Park at the pavilion, this Sunday, May 15 at 2 p.m.
