I am writing in response to the headline Okanagan MP’s father fined for professional misconduct in the May 22 edition of the Western News.
I’m not sure where the younger Mr. Albas has anything to do with his father’s business wranglings, actually nothing at all as far as I can see.
This had to do with Mr. Albas the lawyer, not Mr. Albas the politician. That’s pretty incompetent reporting dragging his adult son into this just because he holds a high-profile position.
I’m sure 99 per cent of the people that live in Penticton could put two and two together without the headline writer having to point this out. I’m sure, come this fall if the younger Mr. Albas is re-elected the headline wouldn’t read, Charlie Albas’ son re-elected as MP.
