In response to a recent letter (Penticton Western News, April 15, Fortis offers smart meter opt-out) regarding FortisBC’s advanced metering project, advanced meters operate well within Health Canada’s radiofrequency exposure guidelines.
According to Health Canada’s website, “exposure to RF energy from smart meters does not pose a public health risk.”
