A quick note to people who are on the B.C. Transplant list and need help.
Do not try and get help from social development as they will not help. My roommate is on the list and he needs help. We have asked for help to get his truck fixed and got a big “no.”
Big problem is he needs his dog to be with him. Greyhound will not allow his dog on the bus. Also, I’m to go with him as his caregiver and I am willing to give him part of my liver if I can.
Another problem is we do not have a computer or internet. So many obstacles for me to handle as we are on social assistance and money is so little with rent so high and food prices going up.
There is so much I can do for my friend and being limited in what I can do for him.
