Lately we at the Stamp Club executive have been playing with the thought as to how we could help out the medical foundation in obtaining their goal in equipping the new hospital.
We played with the thought of raising $30,000 which would be great, but also a big undertaking for a small group of people playing with little pieces of paper (stamps).
Our strength is in gathering stamps and stamp material, which we auction off for charity and the foundation is one of our major charities. The best we can do is keep on doing and promote the fact that we are raising funds, and bringing awareness that we do have a Stamp Club and that we wish to keep a legacy in the community honouring special events.
Several important events will be taking place in Penticton and we are keeping an eye on those.
