I think it is in horrible taste for any person who is associated with SOWINS to talk about what a nice man the former RCMP officer charged with murder was.
He robbed the victim’s daughter, son, and granddaughter of her presence, love, wisdom and of her in their lives, and we as a community are supposed to care that he is a good man?
This family is in pain and they are suffering and hurting and trying to deal with this huge loss and the hole that is now where their mother, sister, daughter, grandmother is supposed to be. They have to read an article that talks about how good a man he was? Maybe as a director of SOWINS this woman should show a little more tact and concern for the family.
I have survived an abusive marriage and I am so very happy that this is not the person that I had to go to for help. I wonder if she would have asked me what I did to anger my ex-husband enough for him to beat me and break my bones? He’s a good man? I’m sure even Ava Braun thought Hitler was a good man ... but we all know he wasn’t. I’m sorry, call me insane, but I don’t think an accused murderer is a good man.
