Mike Hanley should run for council. He articulated very well the feelings of many people in Penticton.
We are starting to seriously wonder about city management here. The whole council needs a trip (personally paid for) to the Sonoma/Napa area, to see some of the gorgeous small towns in California’s Wine Country. Just to see the possibilities in a small town.
It boggles the mind that they’re prepared to embrace a penitentiary but not the wine industry that surrounds the town and helps pay the bills. Where is the branding that says you’re in wine country. Can you even imagine Napa seriously considering a prison in the middle of wine country. Not exactly an intelligent decision.
