Greetings from Scotland. I wonder if you could help my mum.
She is trying to trace an old school friend of hers, who moved from Rossie near Montrose in Scotland to Penticton in 1954. Her name was Catriona Dunbar and she will now be 63 or 64; she had a sister Jennifer who was around two years older than her. Her parents were Marjory and Allan Dunbar and the last address that we are aware of them having is 224 Orchard Ave., Penticton. Allan secured a job as a teacher in a school in your town and was also a member of the Granite Club (curling?).
My mum is Jessie Christie (nee Shaw) and her parents were Alexander and Christina Shaw. My grandad worked with Allan at Rossie School and my mum and Catriona became great friends. The families lost touch in the late ‘50s and my mum would dearly like to track Catriona down and catch up on the last 50 or so years.
