In regards to the campaign to bring WestJet service to Penticton: I for one will not travel to Kelowna to fly anywhere.
It is a pain to spend additional hours on the road fighting traffic and crazy drivers just to get a connection to where I really want to go. But neither do I like to see Air Canada’s monopoly on routes and fares from Penticton. I suspect a large portion of those who do fly from Kelowna are from the southern part of the Okanagan, and therefore it makes a lot of sense to have some WestJet flights not only flying from Penticton to Calgary, but Vancouver as well.
