Athlete of the Week: Austin Afonso

Penticton Western News/Canadian Tire athlete of the week

Penticton Lakers Austin Afonso wears number one on his jersey for good reason.

According to Austin’s coaches he is one of the team’s most dependable players and is almost gymnastic in his ball handling and scoring abilities. Austin is in Grade 12 at Penticton Secondary School and is always among the club’s top scorers in league and tournament action.
