Athlete of the week: BMX rider Brody McLean

The Canadian Tire/Penticton Western News athlete of the week

Brody McLean, 11 years, old has been competing in BMX for five years.

He says he loves the fast-paces sport for a number of reasons, including making new friends, getting out and riding his bike and being competitive.

McLean said his biggest accomplishment so far in BMX is getting to compete at the world championship. He also plays hockey and loves other types of biking. McLean is also a big fan of the new BMX track in Penticton.

“The course is just so much bigger and better. The other one was cramped into a small place. This one also has better features,” said McLean.
