Summerland’s Jaydon Davis, 13, was the silver medal kumite winner at last weekend’s Chito-Ryu Friendship Tournament, an annual event held at the Penticton Lakeside.
Davis earned a gold (kata-green stripe) and two silvers (kumite and team kata). Davis got into karate through his grandfather who also use to compete. Davis only starting doing karate competitively six months ago.
At the B.C. Games, held in Kamloops, Davis came home with a gold, silver and two bronze medals.
