The BCHL, along with the Penticton Vees, announced the addition of a new home game onto the team’s schedule on Tuesday.

The Penticton Vees have an additional home game on their calendar, as the BCHL and its teams continue to rework their respective schedules because of the flooding seen across the province this month.

The league and team announced on Tuesday that the Vees (14-2-0-0) will now play the Salmon Arm Silverbacks (15-3-1-0) on Dec. 10 at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

Penticton’s showdown with Salmon Arm will serve as a make-up game for the Vees’ postponed game against the Chilliwack Chiefs on Nov. 19.

Instead of scheduling a make-up game featuring the same teams from the postponed matchup, the league has decided to add an entirely different home game onto the Vees’ calendar.

The team said in a press release on Tuesday that season ticket members will automatically have the make-up game against Salmon Arm added to their season ticket card.

“Physical tickets for the postponed Nov. 19th game will be honoured for the new date on Friday, Dec. 10th,” the release continued. “If fans have lost or misplaced their original tickets for the postponed game, they are encouraged to go to the Valley First Box Office at the SOEC starting at 10:00 AM to have their tickets reprinted.”

The Vees’ new home game on Dec. 10 will begin at 7 p.m.

As for the week ahead, Penticton is set to visit the Prince George Spruce Kings (10-6-0-0) on Wednesday night for the final time this season after defeating the Vernon Vipers on Saturday night.

The Spruce Kings handed the Vees their first loss of the season on Oct. 27.

Fred Harbinson’s team will play back-to-back on Friday and Saturday, with two home games against the Cranbrook Bucks and the Wenatchee Wild respectively.
