In September, five NHL franchises – the Canucks, Sharks, Oilers, Jets, and Flames – will descend on Penticton's Okanagan setting for the NHL's Young Stars tournament. They've been there before, in 2010 and 2011, and Canucks GM Mike Gillis says the club is happy to return.

"The building facility is excellent," he said of the city's South Okanagan Events Centre. "The fact that you can walk there from the hotel, and get around town easily... the setting here is unbelievable, the people are excited when the tournament's going on, so it's a really great way for us to be involved with our fans that are in the Interior, and try and give back a little that we can to the community.

"The other teams like coming here. There's lots to do... All the reports we've had are, teams are very happy."

The Young Stars tournament takes place form September 5-9.
