The KVR Express Grade 8 boys basketball finished 13th in their provincial debut in Pitt Meadows March 5-7. The Express ended their season with wins over Prince Rupert and Shuswap, 43-31. Coach Blair Haddrell said his group dominated defensively in both games.
"Daniel Martin and Ross Millar were beasts out there, it was fun to watch them attack the rim and use their strength to their advantage," said Haddrell. "Chase Davies and Austin Afonso did a great job of controlling the offence all weekend while at the same time playing good defence." "Easton Olsen and Jacob Oh led on defence with Olsen manning the paint and Oh playing tight defence on the outside."
