PATRICIA FORTUNATO of the Glengarry Figure Skating Club had a personal best performance at the 2015 Okanagan regional championships in Armstrong

Eighteen medals were won by members of the Glengarry Figure Skating Club at the 2015 Okanagan regional championships Feb. 13-15 in Armstrong.

In free skate, Meagan Pankratz earned silver in junior silver ladies after scoring 21 points, while Sabrina Fortunato took bronze with 17.39 points. In Star5 girls 13 and over, Denielle Powers took bronze with 12.62 points, which is a personal best. In Star4 girls 13 and over, Isabelle Tuckwood picked up a silver medal, while Amy Slater earned silver in Star3 girls. In Star2, gold medals were captured by Megane Martineau, Giselle Weisheit, Jordyn Sanche and Cloe Robert, while Sara Slater earned silver and Sienna Nichols picked up bronze. In interpretive, Jordana McEachern’s score of 23.82 points earned her a bronze medal, while Pankratz scored a personal best 8.70 in Elements3 to earn silver. Nadia Snyman had a personal best performance in Elements2 scoring 9.30 which landed her a gold medal.

In solo dance, Pankratz scored 14.68 to win gold, while Patricia Fortunato had a personal best performance scoring 14.59 points for silver and Tuckwood also had a personal best performance of 14.50 points to earn bronze. In creative, Kaylee Fortunato earned bronze from a personal best performance in bronze creative with a score of 19.19. Several other skaters from the club enjoyed personal best performances.
