The South Okanagan Flames were dumped 22-6 by the Kamloops Venom in the opening game of the Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League playoffs Tuesday night in Kamloops.

The fourth seeded Flames trail the top seeded Venom 1-0 in a best-of-five semifinal series. Game 2 is Thursday at Kelowna’s Memorial Arena at 7:30 p.m.

In the other semifinal between the Vernon Tigers and Armstrong Shamrocks, the Tigers cruised to an 11-1 win at Kal Tire Place in Vernon.
