Gwen Redfern scored 86 in the Dorothy Olive Franklin Memorial Tournament at the Summerland Golf and Country Club on May 31.
Five points behind her in the first flight was Vi Ward. The low net winners were Vijai Vaagen and Marilyn Tamblyn with 76 points. The second flight low gross winner was Lanette Graham with 92 points, while the low net winner was Pat Gartrell with 74 points. This is an annual provincial tournament held to commemorate Franklin who gave many years to ladies golf at the provincial and national level. Proceeds are used to help send promising junior girls to out-of-province or international tournaments.
