Penticton Lakeside Mini Hoops Basketball Camp, a program based on fun, fitness and the fundamentals of basketball, runs Aug. 2 to 5 at Uplands Elementary School.

The camp costs $70 and is split into two groups: one for ages seven to nine, which runs from 9 to 12 a.m., and ages 10 to 12, which runs 1 to 4 p.m.

They are currently looking for more registrants in the seven to nine age group as the program can only run as a fun competitive camp with a minimum of 10 players.

It also includes high school basketball players who serve as camp helpers, role models and demonstrators. This is the third year the basketball camp is being held.

The camp is coached by Pen high Lakers senior boys basketball coach Dustin Hyde.
