Lakers volleyball feud won by 10s squad

The Pen High Lakers 10s defeated the 9s in three sets in junior girls volleyball.

The Pen High Laker 10s remain atop the South Okanagan-Similkameen Athletic Association standings at 6-0.

On Oct. 13 the Laker 10s defeated the Laker 9s 25-19, 23-25 and 15-12. On the season the Laker 10s have only lost two matches. They lead the league with 378 points scored.

The Laker 9s are 5-2 in league play and have won 12 of 17 matches. They have scored 364 points. In third place before action on Oct. 13 was Summerland Secondary at 4-2, followed by Princess Margaret, Similkameen Elementary Secondary School, Oliver Secondary School, Southern Okanagan Secondary School  and Princeton Secondary School.

In junior boys, Summerland was undefeated at 2-0 with four wins, while the Laker 10s were second at 2-1 with five games won, then the Laker 9s were 1-1, while SOSS was 1-2 and Princeton was winless. On Oct. 20, Princess Margaret hosts league play on both its courts.
