The Penticton Lawn Bowling Club has been busy since September.
They hosted visiting clubs from the Interior region for the Presidents Cup, won by president Larry Bechard and vice-president Terry O’Riordon. They then hosted the Bonney Cup with 24 mixed pairs from various clubs. Mladen Bosnjac and Anita McCaw placed second in the A Division, Clem Beaulac and Bea Dunkley were second in the B Division. The final competition, the Champion of Champions, was won by Myrna McLaren over Kevin Barry. Members are now looking forward to the “Short Mat” which is played indoors at the club house.
