Penticton basketball player is the Western News athlete of the week

William Casmir, Grade 11, is a point-guard for the Princess Margaret Mustangs who are having a strong year in league play, currently in second place as they head into playoffs.

Casmir said his favourite part about playing basketball is dishing out assists to his teammates. The Mustangs are headed to the Valley Championship in Kamloops, Feb. 22-23 and he expects their toughest competition will be from George Elliot Secondary School.

Casmir is the Penticton Western News athlete of the week for Feb. 14.
