The Penticton Vees are being recognized across the province for more than just winning games.

Bradly and Josh Nadeau, the brotherly duo on the Vees, have started the 2022-2023 campaign at a record-setting pace, combining to tally 58 points during the team’s 14-game winning streak.

And earlier this week, the two were named the B.C. Hockey League’s first and second stars for the month of October.

While Bradly is currently riding a 14-game point streak and has scored in each of his last five games, Josh is coming off a week in which he posted seven points in four games.

Both are committed to the University of Maine, with Bradly ranked as a “B-ranked skater” ahead of the 2023 NHL Draft in Nashville, Tenn. Based on his early-season projection, he could fall anywhere between the second and third rounds.

It’s been seven months since the Vees were last defeated.

Fred Harbinson’s squad has won 30 games in a row, dating back to March 31, 2022. Since then, the team has captured the Fred Page Cup while starting this season with a 14-0-0-0 record.

The Nadeau brothers have led the way offensively, ranking No. 1 and 2 in 2022-2023 BCHL scoring.

Vees forward Aydar Suniev and Brett Moravec fall just behind, ranking No. 5 and 8 in league-wide scoring, respectively.

Also this week, Penticton’s Spencer Smith earned a scholarship to Mercyhurst University.

He will suit up for his new team at the start of the 2023-2024 season.

The Vees drop the puck on a two-game weekend homestand, starting Friday, Nov. 4, when they host the Prince George Spruce Kings.

The following night, they welcome the Wenatchee Wild north of the border for a showdown at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
