Al Evoy was at it again.
The 90-year-old Penticton resident took part in the Peachland Beach Run and walked the five kilometre distance in 48 minutes and 17 seconds, good for 125th overall among 128 who completed.
“I thought I did pretty well,” said Evoy, who in late April was in Connecticut and completed the 23rd annual Ammonoosuc Amble five-mile run/walk in 1:23:14. “It was flat along the beach front. It was easier than the New Hampshire walk. I went at a fair clip."
Evoy was talked into entering the Peachland Beach Run. “I enjoyed it very much,” said Evoy. “We were decked out in Canadian flags.”
