No. 1 seed Penticton Vees set to battle Okotoks in BCHL playoffs

First two games of opening-round series will be played at the South Okanagan Events Centre

The Penticton Vees' final BCHL playoff run starts this week at the South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC).

Penticton's quest for a record 15th Fred Page Cup begins Thursday (April 3) as it hosts the Okotoks Oilers for Game 1 of the playoffs' first round.

The Vees, who will join the Western Hockey League ahead of next season, finished with the BCHL's best regular-season record after posting a 41-8-5-0 record in 2024-2025. They will have home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs.

Okotoks, meanwhile, claimed the Interior Conference's eighth and final playoff spot after going 21-30-3-0.

The Vees won three of four regular-season meetings against the Alberta-based club this season.

Team officials released the full schedule for the best-of-seven series following the Vees' 5-1 loss to Salmon Arm on Sunday.

• Game 2: Sunday, April 6, Okotoks at Penticton, 4:00 pm PDT

• Game 3: Tuesday, April 8, Penticton at Okotoks, 7:00 pm MDT

• Game 4: Wednesday, April 9, Penticton at Okotoks, 7:00 pm MDT

• Game 5: Saturday, April 12, Okotoks at Penticton, 7:00 pm PDT*

• Game 6: Sunday, April 13, Penticton at Okotoks, 7:00 pm MDT*

• Game 7: Tuesday, April 15, Okotoks at Penticton, 7:00 pm PDT*
