The Okanagan Hoops took two of four games in the Kelowna Minor Basketball Association Monster Jam Tournament in Kelowna on May 24-25.

Both Hoops victories came against the Richmond Rebels under-13 team, 42-21 and 36-15. Liev Elder, Kate Coombes and Olivia Devito each scored eight points to lead the Hoops in the first win. In the second win, Devito took charge with 10 points.

“When Olivia and Kalli are active defensively, like they were during this game, they create a lot of problems for the opposition and many opportunities for themselves in transition,” said coach Chris Terris.

The Hoops opened with a 39-36 loss against the UBC Heat under-13 team. Elder dropped 11 points, while Kayley Davies scored eight to go with three rebounds and three steals. The Hoops' final game was a rematch against the Heat, losing 37-29. Elder and Jennifer Hayman led with eight points, while Hayman added six rebounds.
