Penticton figure skaters set personal bests at Parksville event

The road to competing at the 2025 Canadian Championships started last weekend for five Penticton-based figure skaters.

Members of the Glengarry Skating Club participated in the most recent Skate Canada BC/YT Super Series Sectional Championships in Parksville from Nov. 7 to 10.

The event served as the first qualifier for this season's Canadian Championships, set for Laval, Que. in January.

Multiple local skaters set personal bests (PB) at the event. Full results:

Pre-Juvenile Dance

• Claire Callahan and Micah Rodrigues, 18.26 points (PB)

- Baby Blues: 8.62 points (PB)

- Fiesta Tango: 9.64 points (PB)

Juvenile Men

• Micah Rodrigues, 23.59 points

Juvenile Women U14

• Vivian Kanazawa, 22.33 points

Pre-Novice Women
