Penticton men’s rec hockey holds draft for new players

The Penticton Men’s Rec Hockey League is hosting their annual draft for new players this week.

The full gear, on-ice scrimmage takes place at Memorial Arena on Sept. 9 at 8:45 p.m.

Players are asked to show up between 8:15 and 8:30 p.m. to register. Players must also bring $500 cash or a cheque, which will go towards the current year fees.

The five-team league begins play on Sept. 16. Game times are Monday at 8:45 p.m., Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., Thursday at 9 p.m. and some Saturday games at either 8:30 or 10 p.m.

The defending playoff champion is the Race Ice Dogs.
