Who will forever be known as the first member of the WHL's Penticton Vees?

Penticton will announce its first selection inside the resort's East Ballroom and play a livestream of the rest of the draft.
The Vees will then unveil their full inaugural WHL roster for the 2025-26 season and host a town hall with Graham Fraser, the team's majority owner and governor. Fred Harbinson, the Vees' president, general manager and head coach, will also take part in the event.
Fans are invited to the free event, which will begin at 4 p.m. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.
People can reserve their spot at the launch party here.
WHL officials last month announced the rules and regulations for the expansion draft, which permits the Vees to select one player from each of the league's 22 other teams.
Penticton next season will play in the B.C. division of the WHL's Western Conference, alongside Victoria, Prince George, Vancouver, Kamloops and Kelowna.
