Penticton’s Jeff Symonds is in Kelowna Sunday to defend is BMO Okanagan marathon title. Symonds is a two-time champion and recently captured third place in the 2011 World Ironman World Championships in Nevada. He has called the Sept. 1h finish a “game changer” and he is looking forward to running in the local BMO Okanagan Marathon in front of family and friends. The event, which takes place Oct. 8 and 9, is attracting over 3,500 participants.
