Mayday! Mayday! Are the cries for help you might be hearing at this month’s roller derby bout.
On May 7 at the Penticton Curling Club, the Penticton Pistoleras host the Okanagan Derby Dolls in Let Them Eat Skate.
The Pistoleraas like to keep the atmosphere light and the hits heavy for the entire family.
The derby has something for everyone from shirts, hats and stickers at the merchandise table, to a 50/50 draw for charity, to food and
refreshment vendors on site.
This season the Pistoleras are raising money for OSNS Child & Youth Development Center. The organization plays a major role for the development and well being of many children and families, and offers services such as speech and language pathology, autism treatment, family support, and more.
Tickets for the bout are available at either LockWorks Inc. or Saint Germain Café & Gallery on Main Street or at Picture This Custom Framing on Westminster Avenue.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and whistle blows at 7 p.m.
