Faith Henrichsen led the Lake City Basketball under-11 girls team with 12 points in a 48-28 loss to the Kelowna Legends on Tuesday.
The loss ends the season for Lake City. Alyssa Mullin and Rebekah Young chipped in six and four points, respectively.
“We got off to a slow start and were down 26-11 at half time,” said coach Laurie Hudson. “In the second half, we definitely started playing together as a team – rebounding, fast breaks, better passes and better defence – but it was not enough to take the lead as we scored 21 points in the second half.”
Hudson congratulated her players on their coachability, fabulous attitude toward the game, and for their excellent effort all season.
