The South Okanagan Flames opened play in the Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League at Memorial Arena on Monday night.

The Flames held the lead for most of the game against the Armstrong Shamrocks, however a few untimely penalties late in the game brought the Shamrocks within reach. The Shamrocks pulled their goalie in the dying minutes which resulted in the visitors scoring two to earn an 8-8 draw.

The Flames will host the Vernon Tigers on April 30 at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Arena.
