St. George’s defeats Delta Hockey Academy for CSSHL bantam varsity title

Eight different skaters found the back of the net as St. George’s School captured the 2018 CSSHL Bantam Varsity Division Championship in Penticton.

St. George’s defeated Delta Hockey Academy 8-1 on Monday afternoon.

Dylan Fader (Vancouver) and Trevor Wong (Vancouver) each finished with a goal and two helpers as St. George’s scored four times in each of the final two periods.

Connor Levis (Vancouver) added a goal and assist, while Charlie Gaglardi (Vancouver), Austin Fraser (West Vancouver), Oliver Gabrielson (Vancouver), GW Henderson (Vancouver) and Ronac Chauhan (Burnaby) rounded out the scoring, each adding a single.

Ethan David (Vancouver) recorded the win between the pipes, stopping 12-of-13 shots fired his way.

Luke Chakrabarti (White Rock) scored the lone goal for Delta, which sees their streak of consecutive CSSHL Bantam Varsity Division titles come to an end at three.

Harrison Meneghin (South Surrey) made 36 saves in the Delta crease.

The win caps off a perfect season for St. George’s School, which in their first season in the CSSHL finished with a regular season record of 30-0-0.
