Golfers compete in scheduled league play

Summerland Ladies Club

On Aug. 6, the Summerland Golf and Country Ladies Club counted Stableford points to determine the winners.

First flight: First Linda Brussee, 39; second Frances Colussi, 38; third (tie) Lil Smith and Helen Pybus, 37.

Second flight: First Barb Oleschuk, 38; second (tie) Maribel Rothfield and Janis Goll, 37; third Diana Leitch, 36.

Summerland Senior Men

On Aug. 8, the Summerland Senior Men’s Club played a one gross, three net scores event.

Bob Fortune was the low gross for the day with a 75 while Alf Vaagen led the field with a net 65.

Len Good and Barry Wicker topped the second flight and Doug Marchesi and Bob Tamblyn led the third flight.

Andy Webster, Stu Macaulay, Sandy McDowell and Alf Vaagen shared the deuce pot.

First flight: First low gross Bob Fortune, 75; first low net Alf Vaagen, 65; second low net Dwain Sandrelli, 70; third low net Garth Humphreys, 71.

Second flight: First low gross Len Good, 84; first low net Barry Wicker, 68 cb; second low net Jerry Sauve, 68; third low net Sandy McDowell, 70.

Third flight: First low gross Doug Marchesi, 92; first low net Bob Tamblyn, 66; second low net Stu Macaulay, 70; third low net George Carswell, 71.
