Summerland Skating Club member earns fourth-place finish

Lorreine Stanley of Penticton places fourth in Star Skate Super Series in Kelowna

Lorreine Stanley of the Summerland Skating Club earned a fourth-place finish during the Star Skate Super Series held in Kelowna at the Capital News Centre last weekend. Stanley accomplished the feat against 27 competitors. She also placed ninth overall in the senior bronze ladies after three events in the final Star Skate.

Prior to the Star Skate Super Series, Stanley competed in the Oliver Snowball competition and won gold then during the regional championship she claimed bronze in the senior bronze ladies free skate. The Pen High student was also recognized by the Summerland Skating Club as its most sportsmanlike senior skater.
