Shell shocked — Ryan Landels of the Vernon TIgers takes a shot on Brad Stel of the South Okanagan Flames. Stel made 56 saves in a 14-8 loss in Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League action Saturday night at the Wesbild Centre. The Flames’ next game is back in Vernon on June 24.

The South Okanagan Flames were downed 14-8 by the Vernon Tigers in Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League action.

Goalie Brad Stel made 56 saves in a game which the Flames had just 11 players. After trailing  8-0 after the first period, the Flames outscored the Tigers 8-6 in the final two frames. Leading the Flames offensively was Kaid McLeod with three goals and five points, while Kees Mooijer scored three. Chris Pond and Nick Kapusty rounded out the Flames offence.
