The top squash players in the world are battling each other for $5,000 in prize money during the Sandman Hotels Open at the Penticton Racquet and Fitness Club Jan.14-17.
The pro players come from Egypt, Mexico, Colombia, Ireland and Canada. There are 16 pros and 90 amateurs competing.
The qualifying round began Thursday at 3 p.m. and there is junior play as well.
The winner will received $1,500.
