USHL drafts Vees Murphy

Vees Wade Murphy looking forward to returning to Penticton and being big part of another team

Penticton Vees forward Wade Murphy was chosen in the third round of the United States Hockey League draft by the Green Bay Gamblers 40th overall. Murphy said the Gamblers contacted him to tell him they were selecting him. While the Gamblers would like Murphy, who scored 91 points in 60 regular season games split with the Vees and Victoria Grizzlies, to play for them, he’s excited about another season with the Vees. “I want to be the main guy there and lead them to a championship,” said Murphy, who shared the playoff MVP honours with Joey Benik.
