Representatives from Valley First and Granfondo Axel Merckx Okanagan will officially announce their partnership on Tuesday at the Valley First Vault.
The July event will now be called Valley First Granfondo Axel Merckx Okanagan and in attendance of the announcement will be Valley First president Paulette Rennie and Axel Merckx. The sponsorship announcement will take place at 10 a.m.
The Valley First Granfondo Axel Merckx Okanagan is a fully supported ride featuring several categories and distances to challenge riders of all levels. The traditional Granfondo will span 160 kilometres, while the shorter Mediofondo will feature a 90 km route. The weekend of the Granfondo, July 8 to 10, will feature a full schedule of events leading up to, and after, the ride.
