The Penticton Vees have bulked up for next season.

The Vees have acquired six-foot-five, 215-pound forward Noah Jordan from the St. Michaels Buzzers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) for defenceman Seamus Donohue and future considerations.

“What stands out with Noah is his size and experience, but he also has shown he can produce at this level," said Vees general manager and coach Fred Harbinson in a team statement. "You can never have enough depth and with us hosting the Western Canada Cup, we feel he’ll be a solid piece up front that will help us take a run at a national championship.”

Jordan has spent the last three seasons in the OJHL with St. Mike’s and enjoyed a career year with 12 goals and 56 points in 50 regular season games. As an 18-year-old, Jordan's 44 helpers were a team best. In three seasons in the OJHL, the Toronto native compiled 24 goals and 92 points in 138 regular season games.

Jordan played internationally last season for Team Canada East at the 2015 World Junior A Challenge in Cobourg, Ont.. In five games, Jordan had a goal and two points as Canada East finished fourth.

Donohue spent one season with the Vees after coming from St. Thomas Academy, in his hometown of Mendota Heights, Minn. Donohue was limited to 40 games due to injury and registered a goal and 12 assists.

On Thursday, the Vees made a move sending defenceman Domenic Masellis to the Coquitlam Express for future considerations.

Masellis was acquired by the Vees from the Langley Rivermen in November of last season and played in 30 regular season games for Penticton, picking up a goal and four points. Between Langley and the Vees he had eight points in 47 games. The stay-at-home defenceman has played three seasons in the BCHL and nearly 150 regular season games between Surrey, Langley and Penticton. He also has another 20 games of post-season experience under his belt, eight of which were with the Vees.
