Trevor Miller, the voice of the Penticton Vees, is stepping away from the organization and moving on to new endeavors.
The team made the announcement on Friday morning, June 3, thanking Miller for his three years in Penticton as the director of broadcasting and communications.
“Trevor did an outstanding job connecting our families and fan base to whatever was happening within our entire organization,” said Fred Harbinson, the Vees’ head coach, general manager and president. “He raised the bar in the BCHL and will be missed not just by us but the entire league. We wish Trevor the best of luck in his next endeavor.”
Prior to working for his hometown team from 2019 to 2022, Miller spent two seasons as the West Kelowna Warriors’ play-by-play commentator.
“Working for my hometown team and doing a job I dreamed of over the past three seasons has been incredible,” said Miller. “I enjoyed being able to connect with our fan base on a nightly basis and I leave extremely proud of the work that has been done in keeping our fans up-to-date on everything to do with the Vees.”
The Penticton resident was also the voice of the Trail Smoke Eaters after completing a colour-commentary stint with the Vees from 2012 to 2015.
Miller’s replacement will be announced next week.
