Early bird rates for the Western Canada Cup in Penticton go on sale Friday. Fans can get their 13-game tournament package by calling director of ticket sales Laura Carleton at 250-493-8337, online at www.valleyfirsttix.com, or in person at the Valley First box office starting July 4 at 10 a.m.

“We’ve had a great response from our season ticket holders buying Western Canada Cup packages and now we hope the general public continues the strong push,” said Penticton Vees president Fred Harbinson in a press release. “We’ve worked really hard to keep costs down for our fans and if you look at the last two WCC tournaments in Estevan (2016) and Fort McMurray (2015), we’re offering a savings of over $100 on ticket packages.”

Season ticket holders who haven’t purchased WCC ticket packages still have the opportunity to do so, on a first come, first serve basis, by contacting Laura Carleton, in the Vees’ office.

It’s been an exciting off-season for the Vees as Harbinson, also the Vees coach-general manager, and his staff continue to build a roster ready to contend for a national championship. Nick Jones was named captain for the upcoming season, along with Gabe Bast being named an assistant captain. The Vees have a strong recruiting class coming in and have made some significant moves in acquiring veterans players, like Mitch Meek and Noah Jordan, and the team expects to make further roster announcements in the coming days.
