The Penticton Vees Hockey Club is pleased to announceĀ Captain Logan Johnston has committed to the University ofĀ Massachusetts-Lowell River Hawks for the fall of 2012.
Johnston, 20, is in his fourth season with the Penticton Vees, a teamĀ he grew up watching in Penticton.
Johnston has played in 173 career regular season games for the Vees,Ā registering 27 goals and 69 points. In 2010-2011, the Penticton nativeĀ recorded 11 goals and 32 points in 56 games.
The power-forward is coming off an impressive playoff performance lastĀ spring, scoring six goals and nine points in as many games for theĀ Vees; earning him Co-Playoff MVP honours.
āI am very proud of what Logan has accomplished in his time as aĀ Penticton Vee,” said Vees coach-GM FredĀ Harbinson. āHe has shown dedication and perseverance developing overĀ the last four and a half years; first as an AP in 07-08 and to theĀ present as our current Captain and leader.ā
Johnston is currently serving a 25-game suspension and is eligible toĀ return on November 26th, versus the Chilliwack Chiefs.
