Vees extend winning streak to 32 games

Despite a 6-1 lead, the Penticton Vees hung on for a 7-5 win against the Westside Warriors.

Despite a 6-1 lead evaporating in the third period, the Penticton Vees extended their winning streak to 32 games against the Westside Warriors with a 7-5 win on Saturday.

Steven Fogarty scored the game-winning goal in front of 2,366 at the South Okanagan Events Centre. Fogarty was named first star with a one-goal and three-point effort, while linemate Joey Benik netted a hat-trick to give him 25 goals on the season. Also scoring for the Vees were Ryan Reilly, Wade Murphy and Cody DePourcq. Michael Garteig made 17 saves for the win.
